Georgia’s House

The Georgia Mattson Memorial Shelter is a 501 (c) (3) organization and is managed by The Weaver Foundation. Low-income homeless and women who have experienced domestic violence are helped through our program. All clients are referred by other non-profit agencies in the Kitsap Community. In the year 2017 we helped 176 women.

We have five separate bedrooms and can house 22 individuals. Our staff consist of all volunteers who are willing to show compassion as well as provide listening ears and hearts.
Our primary focus is providing shelter and everyday living necessities to women over age 18 while they are working to overcome their homeless circumstances. Neither The Weaver Foundation nor The Georgia Mattson Memorial Shelter discriminate in regards to race or beliefs.

The Weaver Foundation

Georgia Mattson was a caring and giving woman who believed in diversity and acceptance of every person she met. Upon her death, a group of people from different walks of life, joined together to continue her work within the community. The Weaver Foundation was built upon those ideals and inspirations for whom the shelter is named.
